SOYE KO JAGAO!
We are here to create a shift in the mindset about how we consume 'Soya' through this lip-smacking Soya Puffs giving one a mindful munching experience!
THE SOYA HISTORY
SOYA
Although the highly nutritious soyabean was introduced to India way back in 1882, It got its rightful place in the Indian diet only through the tireless efforts of its admirers who vary from the royalty - Maharaja Gaekwad of Baroda, who held a royal soybean planting ceremony in 1932.
To the supreme advocate of simplicity and vegetarianism - Mahatma Gandhi, who wrote several articles to promote soyfoods in his magazine Harijan in 1935.
To the humble yet creative team of ten housewives from all over India led by Mrs Rajeshwari Singh, who came up with the world's most imaginative and complete book on soyfood - SOYAHAR containing 221 Indian soy recipes in 1970.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
The Covid Pandemic hit us all hard. As carefree living slowly but surely started being replaced by vigilant lifestyle especially in the realm of nutrition, I began to look for healthier munching options for my snack loving family. The market wasn't of much help due to low availability of snacks that could tick all the boxes in our list which meant that it had to be crunchy, munchy, no preservatives, non fried, nutrition rich and had a taste that would make all the stress and boredom brought in by the pandemic disappear!!
After a long search, I decided to take matters into my own hands- And flavoured Soya Puffs was born in my kitchen! This protein rich snack not only met all the above requisites, it was full of fibre too! Add to that gluten free and Omega 3 and you have a new Superfood partner for all munching occasions!
All through the journey till now, I have loved how people started seeing Soya in a different light. I wish to see my small endeavour making a huge comeback for Soya in the Indian and global palate.
